Teenager Riley (Browne) and her father, Tom (Peacocke), are driving through the outback to attend her estranged mother’s funeral. While investigating two abandoned cars at a remote desert crossing, Tom is violently abducted by a creature only he can see and dragged to a horrifying underground lair. Stranded in the car, Riley realises she is not alone: Claudia (Basman), a desperate survivor trapped in one of the other cars, makes contact over the radio. Her boyfriend Oliver (Pullar) was taken the day before, and she begs Riley for help.
Risking her life, Riley joins forces with Claudia as they plot to outwit the creature and escape certain death, while Riley clings to hope of finding her father. But as Claudia’s self-serving motives come to light, Riley finds herself caught in a deadly desert trap, with the monster closing in on its prey…
